Lavender essential oils can also be used to ease pain, treat lack of or poor quality of sleep, anxiety and even depression, although it should not be taken as an alternative to any prescribed medicines administered by your doctor or other health professional. It can however, be used in conjunction with conventional medicine.

Well, why not try adding a couple of drops of lavender essential oils to your bathwater before you get into it? You could also try burning lavender scented candles in your home. Lavender is particular useful at bed time. You can get fragranced room sprays that can be sprayed onto the pillow an hour or so before you go to bed and this can help bring about a more natural and deeper sleep.

If you have lavender growing in your garden then why not pick a couple of sprigs and add them to a bowl of pot pourri or dry them out, place them in little material bags and hang them in wardrobes or drawers to keep your clothes smelling the nice. If you don’t have lavender then you could always sprinkle a couple of drops of lavender essential oils on an old piece of material and leave that there instead.
