Belonging to the Brassicaceae family, Erysimumcheiri or the giroflée is native to Europe. It is a perennial and biennial plant reaching up to 80 cm in height. It has extremely scented flowers with strong colors of yellow, red and purple. Due to its richness in flowers during the spring season it is considered to be a decorative flower essentially. As the name clearly states these plants can often be seen to grow on cliffs, rocks or even o walls and they are known to be poisonous.
