There are many ways in which you can incorporate essential oils and aromatherapy into your life and how you do it depends on the beneficial effects you want to acheive and the place you are using them. You will find that it doesn’t matter for what purposes you are using essential oils, you can find a way in which to use them that will not interfere with your everyday life and this particularly useful for busy people!

Oil burners are a great way to use a massive variety of essential oils. A small candle in the bottom of the oil burner will burn and heat the oil in the small tray above it. Once the oil is warmed, it fragrances the whole room and will continue to do so the whole time the candle is burning. This is great for those that want to use lavender essential oils as a way to promote natural sleep. Just don’t forget to blow it out before you go to bed! You can also use this with sandalwood to add a sense of romance to an occasion. You should only let the candle on an oil burner go for 30 minutes to an hour. Anything more than that can scorch the oil and there is nothing nice about that. The oil will continue to fragrance the area as it cools.

The same methods of using aromatherapy apply to candles. You can either buy and burn scented candles, or buy unscented candles and wait until they have burnt down a little bit and then add a couple of drops of your favourite essential oils. This will work in the same way as using an oil burner and will continue to fragrance the room for as long as you want it to.

You can use essential oils in the bath. All you need to do is add a few drops of your favourite essential oils into the bath and lay back and relax. This is particularly useful when using lavender to relax the body and mind and also for easing the pain of arthritis and other ailments. Chamomile, peppermint and lavender can all be used to ease aches and pains within the bath.

You can buy scented room sprays and body sprays that contain natural essential oils and these are good if you want a short burst of fragrance in a room, or a lingering smell that lasts on your body and clothes. Whatever it is you are looking to use essential oils and aromatherapy, there will be a way in which you can use them in your daily life.
