Lavender oil

Lavender oil is also called universal oil because of its all round medicinal properties. The oil is so good for the skin that it provides relief in almost all skin problems. It can be used for a cure from abscesses, fungal infections, athlete's feet, allergies, inflammations, dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, cellulite, rashes, acne, boils, cuts, scars, bruises, burns, insect bites and stings, stretch-marks, sunburns and wounds.

Lavender oil is very good to seek relief from muscular pain, stiff joints, and sprain. The oil controls blood pressure, palpitations, and lumbago. Lavender oil is very good to overcome respiratory problems like cough, cold, bronchitis, laryngitis, sore throat, tonsillitis and sinusitis. Its stomachic properties provide relief from nausea, poor digestion, gastric troubles, and soothes intestines. Lavender oil's anti-convulsion properties effectively treat neurotic problems like epilepsy, nervous tension, stress, insomnia, migraine, headache, and vertigo.

Some of lavender oil's many therapeutic uses are antiseptic, analgesic, anti-convulsant, anti-rheumatic, anti-spasmodic, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, bactericide, cholagogue, cicatrisant, cordial, cytophylactic, decongestant, diuretic, carminative, emmenagogue, hypotensive, nervine, rubefacient, sedative, anti-depressant, sudorific, and vulnerary.

Lavender oil is extracted through steam distillation process from the flowering tops of Lavandula Officinalis. The thin viscosity oil with clear light yellow color has freshening aroma of blooming lavender flowers. Lavender oil is one of the safest essential oils that can be used with 100 percent purity.
