Clary Sage Oil

Mysterious, enigmatic and intoxicating, clary sage oil has unlimited healing qualities. Clary sage oil assists less painful birth by causing relaxation during labour. During menopause clary sage oil can mitigate hot flushes, night sweats, excessive palpitations, irritability, headaches and nausea. It also helps calm the nervous system especially during depression, stress, lack of sleep (insomnia) and debilitating tension. It can be used during muscle pains, digestive disorders, kidney related melodies and inflammation of the skin.

With blended massage oil it can bring relief in muscle pain, joint pains, and various neurotic elements. All in all, the therapeutic properties of clary sage oil are antidepressant, anticonvulsive, antispasmodic, antiseptic, aphrodisiac, astringent, bactericidal, carminative, deodorant, digestive, emmenagogue, euphoric, hypotensive, nervine, sedative, stomachic, uterine and nerve tonic.

Clary sage is a perennial, aromatic herb, very hairy, with large, oval, light green, leaves which are up to 23 cm long and it is common to South West and Central Europe to Central Asia.

Clary sage oil is extracted by steam distillation from the flowering tops and the leaves.
