The Blue Lotus or the Water Lily
The blue lotus is also known as the Nymphaea Caerulea, it originated in North and Central Africa. It belongs to Nymphaeceae family and has rounded leaves which are 20-30 cm in diameter and flowers which are 10 to 15 cm in diameter. It was one of the most important flowers planted during the Egyptian times.
